I don't know if everyone used a James Garner related team name. I decided to go with a lesser known movie where Garner played Luther Sledge. I thought it was a cool name. I should have named one of my kids Luther Sledge. He would either be a super hero movie villain or a DH batting .260, 40 HRs, and 225 Ks every season.
