In my opinion, 9 times out of 10, any team that you trade Gibson to, now has a better team than you. I won't make any trade that I feel would make my team weaker and the other team stronger. I'd keep Piazza and Josh and let people try to get one of them from me in a more favorable trade.

Yeah, I would MUCH rather trade Piazza than Josh. Look at it this way - Josh is nearly always drafted ahead of any pitcher in live drafts. Piazza is usually drafted after about a dozen starters have gone. So there are a dozen pitchers you can trade Piazza for that are a win for you, and none that you can trade Josh for.

I would expect to get a big upgrade somewhere else along with a top starter in order to trade Josh.

Are those live drafts the $999 mil variety. If so not sure who is drafted first is the best indicator when there is a cap that forces choices.

Plus while trading Gibson may make another team better often on teams I am running some theme or experiment and that takes precedence over whether team wins or loses. This is one of those themes I have running through my head.

At 200 mill the $$$ saved will end up simply upgrading the last couple of guys on the roster who won't play a lot. You want to have as many $$$ on the field as you can. In a 200 mill live draft Gibson is a top 3 pick.

Yep. In any league where you can afford to draft both Josh and Piazza, you want to trade Piazza.
