Are there any additional rules regarding the years on the players cards, etc.? Is Joe Morgan eligible for every season because I drafted him?

Basic rules:

3 keepers may be kept season to season
1 supplemental player draft after each season
individual stadiums to be drafted too

durantjerry - no additional rules on players - he's eligible for every season on his card. Morgan is yours for at least five seasons if you want to keep him. You keep any 3 players from season to season.

So every player is only eligible for five seasons? What happens in the seasons in which he is not carded? Do you start in 1970 and move forward year by year? Does the salary cap play into keepers?

Once the teams are set, SOM assigns players cards randomly. You might get the 75 card this season, the 77 card the next and so forth. You won't know which card your players have at the start of the season - thus "mystery card." You can guess the season by how the player is performing sometimes but we've all cut players on their best seasons after a slow start so be careful when trying to figure out what year you might have.

When you say he is eligible for every season on his card, does that mean you start playing the 1970 season and Joe can't be used because he has no 1970 and only 1970 guys play? Can you give a quick step by step of how things proceed after the draft?

All five cards are considered part of the 70s and count as long as you are playing the 70s. You just do not know which card is going to be used for the given season you are playing.

Now that I helped you out would you consider a trade for Morgan?
