ATG8 Random Parks Chat Thread

Hope its ok I created this, so as not to clutter up the draft thread.

The suspense is killing me!

In short drafts like this, I hate having a early/mid pick... 1 or 2 is fine 3 is ok but four... blech. I just feel that the wait in draft slots 4-8 is terrible!

Eh, maybe its just me, seriously haven't been this excited for a theme league in a long long time.

Good idea. I was in a couple of random parks leagues. It's very interesting to build, and watch others build, teams for unusual ballparks. This one will be interesting to see how the six teams in small-ball parks attack the problem of getting acceptable players for their last 2-3 lineup spots. It will also be interesting to see how the rest of us triangulate between our own ballparks and the many road parks.

By the way, I didn't think about divisional alignment. Normally in these leagues teams 1-4-7-10 by draft order are in the East, 2-5-8-11 in the Central, and 3-6-9-12 in the West. If you all want to just randomize divisions, though, I'm OK with that. Chime in here.

My first thought on divisions, is that we go with the standard. However, In keeping with the theme, maybe set up the league(s) as random division assignments.

If it was a complete live draft, I would def, go with the standard. But, its not, its only 4 rounds, where we are picking core players for our team to build around, not-so-much building a team to battle our division foes.

If, we vote, I say Random, as the league theme goes.

I don't speak for everybody, hell, sometimes my wife wont let me speak for myself, but I say just make a decision as to what ya wanna go with commish, the rest will follow.

Given the randomness of most everything else here, I would suggest randomized divisions.

Might as well randomize divisions too, though we could wind up with 3 RH bias stadiums in one division, ouch.
