What is taking so long for us to get started?

Generally, in my experience, it ends up taking about a day per team to get all the teams drafted. So the whole thing takes around 10-14 days. That's how it was the 2 previous dream leagues I've participated in, anyway.

Has it been decided that the draft will take place on the boards? Or are we going to use the Live Draft app somehow?

We're temporarily filled. jfree can't draft until next week, so we'll give it to Monday to see if any other vets check in with squatting rights.

One reason we might be delayed is that MEAT stated early on that prior league members get priority and as stated above, he gave them until Monday to sign up.

I have no problem with prior league members having priority, but it must be noted that today is day 5 from MEAT's original post about this league, so one would think that if anyone else was getting in, they would have done so by now.

Holy smokes - I'm up first! Just tell me where and I'll have a team drafted by tomorrow night. Psyched to play this league again - fun times.

Also, as of a couple of days ago, one of MEAT's given reasons for waiting until Monday was because "jfree can't draft until next week". But as an obviously pumped up Jon stated above, with the first pick, he's ready to draft now.

It would appear that there is little reason to delay further.

I thought we were going to conduct the draft through the SOM site. It's much easier to do the draft there than here on the boards. We just need to send them a message that we want a dream league and then set up a live draft and than we'll be good to go.

draft is to be on SOM sight. I sent an email to them requesting live draft and listing our twelve members. haven't heard back yet...how long does that usually take? once league is set up, I presume we can start. I haven't done this with their sight, only diamond dope. if one of our vets of the system can shed more light, please do.

I don't get on the message board often and just saw this. I was in the last 2 dream leagues and would enjoy it again if it is not to late.

goreds didn't see page until today, but he's been in last two, and believe me, im not anxious to have him in...his teams usually dominate. can I keep you as an alternate? last year we had the same twelve for all twelve seasons, but that's very rare, and nearly half the league is new.

Updated draft order, with Goreds54 bumping SR2012 based upon alumni status.

OK, here's how the draft order chart works. For season 1, we've all been assigned a draft position 1-12, which is represented by the first (vertical) column on the left. Each team maintains it's vertical (not numerical) position on the chart moving in the same horizontal row from left to right in each subsequent season. So, for example, in motherscratcher's case, in season 1 he picks 9th, season 2 3rd, season 3 10th, etc, etc.

Now that you know how to read the draft charts, look at both of them again. I think it's pretty clear that MEAT chose the more random chart, as there are far fewer cases of picking directly behind the same person than the alternative draft chart.

MEAT, you mentioned that Goreds54 was in the last two leagues. I wasn't in the last league, but was in the $100 mil dream league before the $140 mil dream league. Am I correct to assume that I also get priority alumni status ahead of those who have been in neither league?
