2 questions:

1. Are NeL players eligible for all seasons?
2. I'm not sure what seasons constitute the "dead ball era". I did a Google search and it appears to be 1900 (or 1901) through the 1919 seasons. For purposes of season 1, what years will be considered the "dead ball era"?

My guess is that we simply follow SOM's eras. Any player on a team's deadball list can be chosen, then on to prewar, etc.

My guess is that we simply follow SOM's eras. Any player on a team's deadball list can be chosen, then on to prewar, etc.

But if you're looking at the entire set of players rather than by teams, I think you'd have to put in the years as a filter as follows:

DB is from the earliest up through 1920
PRE is from 1921 through 1946
POST is from 1947 through 1966
EXP is from 1967 through ....the latest year

db players are those listed as such by SOM when you do a search by teams.

I think the Negro Leagues can come on line right after the db era is over -thus season two..
