Stanton
will have a 2l or 3l differential against lefties, where his line is an awesome .352/.449/.637. However, his line against righties is
also an impressive .281/.388/.543, and his home run ratio is actually
stronger against righties (1/14.4 ABs) than it is against lefties (1/15.2 ABs). Add the fact that he has hit 21 of his 32 homers in spacious Marlins field, and the Stanton card (2-3l or no) should be a beast who will destroy righties, feast on lefties, and probably have some solid non-bp home runs on his card.
So, Kershaw wins the tie for me because the Stanton card is meh this year. However, Kershaw's improvements noted, I don't think the split in value between the two 2014 season cards will be that cut and dry.
