There are many here who believe it is a jinx to go into the playoffs with a 100+ win team.

Lots of examples of these teams losing in the semis.

And the 113 win team got smacked in the finals.

I am sure it is superstition, but I feel better as the wild card team in the playoffs than the top team. Maybe it is the lowered expectations...

Yes, an all too common lament. My only 2 110+ win teams both lost in the playoffs. I was bummed for about a week as I recall...

Nice team though. I have to say I'm amazed that Aoki got full time duty in a 200M salary cap team. Apparently, he was at least good enough. Also amazingly bad luck for Dyson. Best steal card in years, and I'm sure the only reason he was on your team was to be a pinch runner, and he was 5 for 12 in stealing bases!

I inherited Aoki, I do like the classic #2 hitter though. I have another season starting with this team in a very strong division this time. Gomez isn't the ideal lead off but had a great. Little heavy RH hitting I feel was downfall and played a great team in semis.
