I built this team on hitting. Take a look at my Outfielders Numbers. Sometimes I just don't get this game. It's like this in a few leagues too.

Marte, Starling R LF 1(-3)e9 88 12 19 3 0 3 15 4 31 4 1 2 AA 1-17 .216 .268 .352 1 4L 7.09M

Ellsbury, Jacoby L CF 1(0)e4 98 12 22 6 2 3 12 6 20 5 0 1 AA 1-17 .225 .269 .418 1 3R 6.58M

Pence, Hunter R RF 2(-1)e7 80 14 15 4 0 3 5 11 21 2 1 2 A 1-16 .188 .305 .350 0 4L 7.89M

In Pence, Marte, and Longoria, you have 23.65 million invested in three hitters who hit lefties very well and righties not so much. Swinging that investment somewhat in the other direction would have to help.

In Miller, you need guys that are MAXED OUT with BPHR'S.

Especially vs. RH's, since you're gonna see more of them.

After 24 games, I'd expect Ellsbury to come back around. Marte and Pence, I am less encouraged by because they are heavy L-based.

In real life, Marte only hit RHP for .254 BA, .315 OBP, .409 SLG in 2013. Pence hit .274, .330, and .439. In other words, I expect you should be killing LHP in your games with these two guys, but in looking at my past teams, generally my overall stats show 2/3 of my teams ABs come against RHP.

Marte is rarely, if ever, used in the leagues I'm in.

Here is the stats of a batter who is suppose to hit lefties well. Please tell me he will snap out of it.
Pence, Hunter (R, 4L) vs. L 45 8 4 0 4 4 5 11 .178 .289 .533

Thanks for your comments. and no more will I pick up Marte and maybe Ellsbury too.

Ellsbury is fine with the right ballpark

I would use Ellsbury. He isn't my first choice, but I think he is good choice overall. For CF I have been a bit of a sucker for Matt Kemp. Go figure. I save some money and use it elsewhere.
