l. stretcher quote: "Again, you shouldn't be so defensive about using ratings guides if you or your friends use them. As I said before, there are still excellent partial managers whose other strat skills should be respected. The utmost respect, however, should be reserved for complete managers who evaluate players on their own."

Again, you have misread my post. I have clearly stated that I have not read or evaluated any guides you speak of. You are obviously unable to prove their helpfulness and your whole discrediting of other managers is based on hypothesis. To claim managers are incomplete managers, by using guides, is to assume they are gaining an unfair advantage. You have failed to demonstrate that as fact to support your claim. You are doing exactly what you discredit other managers for doing by not doing your own research and relying on a select few managers evaluation of these guides. If you were to present a subject in your class based on second hand knowledge instead of your own research than you would in fact be a partial or an inadequate instructor.

You don't need to be so defensive just because you are speaking of a subject you know nothing about and are being called out on it. It is OK for you to allow other theory's into the discussion since you have not presented any facts to back up your opinion.

And you still haven't shown any of my posts that made abusive personal attacks. I'm not surprised; I know you can't do so.

Thanks, Steve...really. You're now the third person to make an unfounded personal attack on me after BJ said I was the one who makes personal attacks.

From what I've seen, you bring it on yourself.

If you have seen any post where I have, Steve, show it to me.

You are a grown man, and grown men back their statements up. Otherwise, you're the one spewing hot air.

The problem about gaslighting (yeah, I know. big word. look it up) on a forum, is all the evidence is left behind.

Here are personal attacks, put downs, and name callings that I found:
---------------------
This is erroneous and beneath you, Coyote, as have been much of your "arguments" on this post.

...your frustration is palpable.

This is a forum for discussion, little guy, not a place for you to pursue your dark obsession with me. Since you only ramble about me, and say nothing about the thread topic, you are the only one making things "personal"...and it's creepy.

Maybe you can actually make an argument this time.

I'm not surprised that eludes you.

I'm hardly shocked you didn't know that.

So, run along now BJ and give your enthrallment with me a respite. Even I don't think about myself as much as you do...

You may not be the gentleman I once thought you were,...

You know I don't respect you or think you're very bright, so you're getting nowhere by sharing them with me.

I am actually surprised you didn't know that.

You're not only fighting here, you're doing it like an underdeveloped adolescent...what a shock.

... little guy,...

Anyway, Marky. I hope you appreciated the Beavis and Butthead. Maybe someday, you can be as smart as one of them...

I guess being a grown man and backing up your argument was beyond you Steve. Very disappointing.

I have also answered his request to refresh his, l. stretches, memory on his abusive replies in a recent post that got locked. I listed around eight of them. He refused to acknowledge them because he wanted the entire post to remind him of the context. His posts start out straight to the point but as people show they don't agree 100% with him and present different viewpoints, he loses his composure and becomes very condescending.

I did not misread your post, BJ. I read it carefully. I neversaid you said that you had evaluated any guides. If you look at my quote above, and read it correctly, I said "if" you or your friends use them. So, try again.

I did address and dispute everything you said above here in my previous arguments. You just continue to fail to address or dispute them in this semi-coherent ramble above.
You don't need to be so defensive just because you are speaking of a subject you know nothing about and are being called out on it. It is OK for you to allow other theory's into the discussion since you have not presented any facts to back up your opinion.

I'm not being defensive; I know you're wrong. You've called me out on nothing. I disputed everything you said here in my last post with this argument:

"Accurate information gleaned from written texts or spoken insight is not hearsay. It is accurate information gleaned from written texts or spoken insight. Everyday, baseball fans draw useful information from scouting reports, history books, and newspapers. Almost none of us see that information for itself.

As an ATG player and fan of old baseball, you should definitely know this. You and the others discuss and give opinions on players you have no first hand knowledge of. You know about them from what you read and what you have heard. If what you erroneously said about first hand knowledge, BJ, were true, you, your friends and all other baseball fans could never successfully do this. Luckily for you, what you said is inaccurate and false."

I show clearly here that you do not need first hand knowledge of something to have accurate knowledge of it. You have avoided answering this salient argument, as well as the rest of my arguments twice now. And you just keep repeating your same erroneous points.

So, you and I are finished here. As I said to Coyote, I have done an excellent job on this thread making, supporting, and defending my arguments about managers using ratings guide. I am fully content with my posts on it and will move on. Considering the fallacious and flawed "arguments" you have made, I suggest you do so as well... ;)

Except for the quote against Steve, Coyote, those are all quotes that may or may not have come from my posts. Since you did not post any my full posts, I will not address them.

I can say however, that none of them look abusive to me. If you think they are, then you haven't been reading Geekor's posts or NIners' usage of "colorful language."

By the way, this was Steve's post to me. That's what initiated the hot air comment:
STEVE F wrote:I haven't come across such a pompous bag of hot air in close to 30 years.

Since you were fine with this, your views on the matter are biased and irrelevant.

This thread is laughable.

I apologize to Sebastian that his simple question, requesting some feedback on the ratings disk/guide, has turned into another soon to be locked forum thanks to our good friend.

Sebastian, I received your PM, I will follow up with you there.

I'm merely sharing this information: No relation to the above quote is necessarily intended. Also the post directly below.
(edited to include the post below and quote above)

Definition Narcissism:
By Mayo Clinic Staff
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

My lord, BJ; you just can't stop yourself. You just can't stop fixating on your favorite guy...moi... ;).

You also keep lying. I never said I needed the posts to "remind" me of the context. I said that without the entire posts, the quotes are out of context, and they are.

As to my composure, please show me any post I made where I lost it. Considering I am very proud of mine, I would greatly appreciate it. Considering I have successfully made all of my arguments on this thread, and fended off numerous personal attacks with aplomb, my composure here has been particularly remarkable.

As I said in my last post, BJ, I'm moving on. You are free to pursue your dark obsession with me here as much as you like... ;)

You say you read and understood my not seeing any guides so there is no "if" about it.

I am simply pointing out that you present zero facts to support your hypothesis. Just because you say you read about them can not be relied upon just because you say so. Copy, pasting irrelevant information over and over just verifies your lack of knowledge that would actually apply to the topic at hand.

I keep replying because you fail to acknowledge viewpoints that differ from yours. You like to be the authority on everything but debates normally involve more than one opinion. It is very rude to just totally ignore others viewpoints without at least proving your own or disproving others. Instead, you just move on as if your voice is the only one that matters.

i think you have typed "I'm moving on" more than my total number of posts in my history.
