Damn, I don't want to be the deciding vote... You all mostly know my opinion on this subject.
Last spring, I created the NL league, not because I like the NL better than the AL, I did it because I am a baseball purist. I love when the score is at most, 4-3... winning, or losing, at 9-6, does not interest me, and, is not baseball as I remember it.
And I re-iterate what I stated in the NL league, in a very limited player pool, unleashed has the very, easy-to-imagine, ability to cause havoc.
Basically, SOM said, hey, we have these 10 cards (or however many), that impacted each team they played for, and would really like to represent them in the online version, but don't want them in the regular set, as they may skew numbers cause of the hit (or, if a pitcher, lack of) chances on a card. So, lets give them a second set of cards, with these XX number of crazy arse cards, and call it unleashed...
That, was SOMs thinking for the full set.
SO, sure, lets cut the player pool in half, use the unleashed set, and basically, whoever gets them on their roster, gets a player (hitter or pitcher), that costs roughly half of what SOM intended, cause now, they are only facing half, the best players...
Whatever.
I ll go with what the masses want. For the rest of this season, and a complete season next year (2 seasons of 2014 cards)
I ll try it. I may not like it, but I will try it. And, for a complete season, I consider that a very fair trial period.
If it goes as I fear, count me out for the future of the leagues.
I give permission for Ernie to change my vote in the NL league too.
The rest of this season, and a complete season next year, that is as far I will go, if, my fears are warranted.
If, my fears do not come to fruition, then I will continue on as expected of a league member, in both leagues.
