As a kid, I was always amused by the pics of 1,000 or so fans rattling around 80,000 seat Cleveland Memorial Stadium. I couldn't understand why anyone would buy anything more than a bleachers ticket, but I suppose the number of staff would outnumber fans and enforcement of proper seating would be rather easy.

Blue Turtle, I grew up going to Cleveland Stadium. You could not get from the bleachers to the rest of the park. As a small kid in the late 1970s and early 1980s we would buy general admission tickets for 3.50 and sit pretty much wherever we wanted.

Been joyriding to different parks over the last 6 years with my Pop, so I'll keep my critique to parks currently in use.

Royals stadium= the worst. Boring , open, and a serious lazy, redneck vibe.

The old Yankee stadium- second worst, before they tore it down. What a huge letdown.

The "Cookie Cutter" stadiums of the 70's may have been concrete eyesores, but they did produce some exciting all-around teams. The Phillies, Pirates, Royals, Cardinals teams were exciting to watch - teams that played on the turf were more athletic, stole tons of bases, hit a bunch of triples, ran the bases, hit and ran....it was a different, more exciting game, in my opinion.
