Looks like the whole team was on the special sauce. Never seen Ventura or Murcer bat that high of an average. Heck, even Don Wert batted almost .200!

It was a post WWII team so no dead ball pitchers. Don did hit .292 at home which helped him "almost" get over the Mendoza line
