In this case I agree. Waivers would be better for two reasons: 1) more time to search because it is harder to search for deadball players 2) more time to evaluate players because a lot of these guys are used very little.

I've already looked at a couple of guys I didn't even know we're in ATG and I thought I knew the set pretty well. We just have a very restricted set and most of us don't go this deep into the ATG set, especially at the higher caps. Less than 700 guys. About 685 to be more precise.

A handy way to limit your search to deadball era guys is to use the years-range setting - limit the search to 1870-1920.
