As Joe may remember I am nowhere near as convinced as he that 1 run losses are a product of luck or that they should even be included in any luck calculations. Many times teams are 1 run better or worse for a reason. That being said I think Smokey is an exception to the rule. I can't remember a team with such a one sided disadvantage as what Smokey has seen this year. He should certainly be better than his record.

Not bad for somebody who was going to scrap his team and start over in waivers. ☺

I tend to agree. however my run dif. is still underwater. I am a bit confused as to how i can play so close to my pythag. but be so underwater in one runners.

Smoke, the only thing I can think is that you're winning a your share of 2 run games. <shrug>

Corky, Luck or not, it is almost always an indicator of variance from the rating. So, IMHO, it *must* be luck. ;)

Ok, down the stretch we come.

East
GB's seeming run away has tightened up. He's gone 1-9 while AT has gone 8-2. Still a hill to climb (5 games) Can AT continue to stay hot while GB withers?

Central
Similarly JTJ has gone 7-3 while Big A has gone 3-7. The teams were tied before that stretch. A 4 game lead looks anything but safe with so many games remaining between the two.

West
Also a four game lead. Stoney over Corky. Spider is six back, a dark horse, but lurking there.

WC
All the teams listed above are in the WC race. In fact, All three division leaders have identical records so, you as you can see, the WC race is neck-and-neck.

Looks like some stressful games to come!

Wow, three one runners with Big A tonight. Lost two of them with BS's in the 9th. :( One with two out and no one on.

Big A hit HRs (not his forte) to blow both saves.

Oh well, we had to win one in his park and we did, almost blowing a 4 run lead in the process! Pulled it out however so we cling to our one game lead.

No more regular season games in stupid Petco Park! 8-) Still with 3 at JMP and 3 at Smoke however. Then close with six at home.

Looks like the Gap is bowing out with three losses to the War Puigs.

The WILDCARD spot is going to be very interesting, as well. Any of the current division leaders could fail to make the playoffs, if they go into a slump during the final 12 games.

Down to nine games, we take 2 from JMP, but Big A sweeps Smokey so we're tied.

AT has closed to 3 games so that looks to go down to the wire also.

Corkey is also only a game back so it's crazy in all three divisions.

In the WC division, Big A/JTJ hold a 2 game lead over Corky and 3 over AT so nothing has been decided yet.

Still three great division races and a wide-open wild-card slot with 6 games remaining! Too bad my guys couldn't be part of it - well, maybe as spoilers.

HUGE series with Big A tonight at my place. Tied at the top with six to go.

Interestingly enough, all three divisions have 1 v 2!

Here are the matchups for our series. It's too hard to pick up for the other two. You'll have to post yourselves

Game 157
Teams Probable Starters
Braumeisters (85-71) Roark, T. (R)
Rockers (85-71) Wainwright, A. (R)
at Progressive Field '13

Game 158
Teams Probable Starters
Braumeisters (85-71) Cueto, J. (R)
Rockers (85-71) Lynn, L. (R)
at Progressive Field '13

Game 159
Teams Probable Starters
Braumeisters (85-71) Cashner, A. (R)
Rockers (85-71) Bailey, H. (R)
at Progressive Field '13

Don't have a favorite in the other divisions per se, but I'm sorta hoping the first place teams sweep the second place teams so that, no matter what, I'll have a better chance at the WC! ;)
