Tourney leagues are normally set to "advanced", but it has no effect on game play. The "advanced" setting just awards extra points (50 vs 25, I think) to the league champ for purposes of manager ratings. Since manager ratings have not yet been revived by SOM since the move from TSN, the "advanced" setting is meaningless, unless/until manager ratings return.
There is actually an even more "advanced" setting, called "tournament", but it has to be set by SOM. SOM/TSN used to change the "advanced" settings to "tournament" for tourney teams, awarding even more manager rating points to the champ. Haven't noticed if they are still using the "tournament" setting.
Hope that helps!
ps to Jeremiah: Live draft pick goes at the bottom of your draft card. If live picks were placed at the top, someone could, inadvertently or otherwise, get an edge by putting an autopick instead of their live pick at the top. With live picks at the bottom, that can't happen, and if somebody autodrafts another manager's live pick, it's easily fixed after the draft.
Thank you for taking the time to clarify that for me and everyone mesquiton.
