POLL - 200 Mil CAP - Like it or Lose it ?

Absolutely hated it, even though I made the playoffs with it. Absolutely no strategy, just list the most expensive players possible, and 'luck' into whoever you get. After the draft there were NO players available to make changes unless you traded down in value. No pitchers over $4.5 mil left at all. No trades, no player movement at all, basically entire season on autopilot after completing your draft list.

Not a fan - I would take the $60 mil / $200 mil choice so I could take the $60 mil! Or lower - a $45 mil I played in was fun!!

This vote proves the value of secret ballots. Although most of the comments about 200M are negative, the voting points in the opposite direction!

I think that much of the dope around the 200 Mil event comes from lack of knowledge on draft strategy. There was quite a long thread some time back in the ATG forum on strategies for the 200 Mil leagues. We need to revive that and get people to look at it. Half to maybe 75% of your shot at winning at 200 Mil comes from your success in the draft.

I know someone mentioned to take the most expensive players and put them on your draft list but I seem to recall that this was a BAD idea and that you had a better chance getting those in the 9-11 mil range than the very top of the list.

Knowledge of how the autodraft works is KEY. There have been many threads on that TOO.

We need to get the 200 Mil FANS to come clean and post some good strategies on succeeding at 200 Mil. With this vote, come the most likely scenario that it will stay in. Some people privately told me they never want to see it again. And of course, that's the hard part really of running this thing ?? Pleasing everyone ??

My write in vote would be hated it, but leave it in. I agree with Dodger Fan, other than some specialized starting pitchers and a couple platoons, the season is pretty much auto-pilot. However, it's not a problem as long as you can skip or drop your lowest event. Disclosure -I did make the playoffs in the $200M.

If you want to test the GM's ability in the Barnstormers Tournament you need to keep the highest and lowest Salary Caps in the 6 teams choices.

I can't see any fun in a 60M league, a complete waste of time, but in this tourney I have to try and win there.
I mean do you want all 6 to be 3 100M and 3 80M, what would that do?

At THIS POINT with the discussions with myself and the Board of Directors, we have decided that all standard caps need to remain in this tourney, that is - 60-80-100-140-200 - the only thing left to decide is what that 6th (and possibly 7th) event will be. This vote sealed the deal for the 200 Mil event. For those that absolutely hated it, you can skip the 200 Mil event and just not be able to drop low, or you can of course post over at the main ATG forum for 200 Mil tips, or find that old thread about winning at 200 Mil and get edjamacated. We agree with you Dwight that all caps need to be played.
