Wow, lucked into a couple of wins at Stoney's place tonight. First game we took advantage of some x-chart magic and a couple of HRs off of Fernandez. Stoney's squad never quit and scored three in the 9th to give me some worry, but we got enough insurance earlier to hold on to a 12-5 win.

Game two was wild. We again got a bit lead, but nearly gave it up! Up 9-3 going to bottom of 7. Stoney gets some of his own Xchart magic to help get 2 runs. 9-5. Jansen has an easy 8th, but the 9th? Not so much. :o Beltre HR 9-6, Utley triples. That's all for Jansen. Farquhar on. Gomez also triples, but Byrd k's. one our. Alexei Ram hits a double and Avilan comes in to face Pinto and Cargo with the tying run at second! Both hitters roll on their own cards and both K! :o Whew :!: :!:

Up two, but not taking anything for granted if these two games are any indication it's going to get wild. For example, some how we won two games with Stoney hitting .378 with a .414 OB! I thought we were good with .291/.364!

Lynn versus Strasburg in game three (advantage to Stoney) with Kelly versus Oberholtzer in game 4 (maybe an advantage to us)

Oh, and we lost Bogusevic for the rest of the series in his first AB! X. Paul will be getting his ABs. :(

p.s. the two series can't be more different. Big A took 2 from AT 2-1 and 3-1. Stoney and I got more hits in game 2 than those guys got in both games combined!

Strange games. Didn't expect Fernandez to get knocked out so early. Big loss

Wow, more strangeness tonight!

First Game Pinto hits a 1-4 HR (fly the rest) off of Lynn to help Stoney to a 5-0 lead with Strasburg throwing a no-hitter. But we storm back with a run in the 7th and then load the bases with three walks (off our cards) Then make it 5-4 on a bases clearing 2b by C. Davis. Carpenter follows up with a clutch single for the tie.

On we go to 11. Stones gets a leadoff single by Carp, But Beltre hits into a P(x) FC and Utley K's. Gomez then also rolls a P(x) and gets a (1-4) single. :( Byrd then rolls the second 6-3 (1-16) HR off of Jansen in as many appearances to give them the lead which they held easily in the bottom of the 11th.

The next one, the Stoney hit parade starts off again versus Oberholtzer. He gets 2 on a Gomez HR in the first. We answer with three in the bottom - big hit C. Davis 2 run 2b.

Stoney comes right back with a solo HR by Utley, But C. Davis strikes again, this time with three run shot. 6-3.

Again, Stoney's squad comes back with a run on a Sierra 2b, but Obie gets the next three batters to limit the damage 6-4. Bottom of the inning Desmond hits a 2 run HR. 8-4

Through the first three innings, the two squads have scored 12 runs on 15 hits, 2 walks, and 4 HRs, 2 for each team!

Obie finally gets a shutdown inning and Davis hits his second HR of the game in the 4th to make it 9-4. At this point, Obie settled down and we added a pair in the bottom of the 5th Davis' (yes, him again) 2 RBI single.

Oberholtzer ends up going the distance allowing 10 hits and no walks. C. Davis has a DAY, 4-5, 2 HRs and 8 RBI

Up 3-1, but stranger things have happened. We'd like to win the next one as we have Wainwright against Gallardo, but if we don't a Fernandez/Bailey matchup would wait for us in Stoney's park. We DON'T want to see that!

Cannot win if we do not hit lol. Would have been nice to advance but overall quite content with how the season went. I guess in the end the draft trade worked out better for me than nythawk. Good luck to Big A in the Finals.

Hey AT, Big A did that to a LOT of people this year. The bigger surprise is that he scored 13 runs in the last two games.

Happy birthday, stoney.

Sorry, AT. A sweep. Didn't see that coming. Cain, Bruce and Gordon were hitting like crazy. My bullpen hasn't given up a run in 4 games and 11 innings. Am so happy right now. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Joe, you could have been a little nicer to me on my birthday! I thought you were going to score in every inning in Game 4.
