Wanted to add my thanks for putting this together. It has been fun. But also have a question on the draft. If I don't draft a free agent in this 3 round draft can I pick one on my draft card? Or do I wait for waivers to get all 3 of my free agents?

This has been a lot of fun. It's nice to get a group of 12 managers together who are both trying to have fun and improve their SOM skills and knowledge.

I had a crazy though about how to possibly mix things up, on the off chance most or all of us might want to do this again...

Same concept, same rules... except that we wouldn't be limited by whether or not the player had a card for that franchise. If the player EVER played for your franchise (or, to make things simpler, if they played for your franchise during the decade in question), you can use them. This would of course require a lot of extra work looking up players and creating player pools for the rosters (which, time permitting, I would be glad to do for other teams as well as my own). But, it would alleviate some of the roster restrictions we have experienced... and create a lot more competition for certain players, and therefore change a lot of drafting and free agency strategies.

Just a thought to maybe spice things up...
