Since the players we have access to is closed, what's the purpose of having Waivers?

It will be a quiet waivers, but the autodraft will result in some ineligible players on some rosters. So they will need to be cut. For example, I suspect that both the Reds and Orioles will try to draft Frank Robinson but the team that doesn't get him will get some other outfielder. That outfielder will need to be cut and perhaps replaced with an eligible player.

I figured we'd get a few guys we can't have, but we probably don't need Waivers to sort them out. Just regular Free Agency should do it. Waivers only slows down the whole process of setting your initial roster and gives us a smaller time-frame to operate in.
