I kinda like Falcon's thinking. I leave for outta the country Monday morning and hope like hell I'll have internet access. Hopefully we can get the final 3 to join & we can adjust our teams accordingly

The premise behind keeping the waivers is that there will be several players still available who will have one team with rights to them. This gives both (or even three or four in some cases) teams an equal shot at going for the players without them simply going to first person to grab them in a free for all. After the waivers are over, then obviously it is first come first serve.
So basically in the name of fairness.
