Jeter's 1 is obviously a ludicrous farewell gift. However, Escobar's RangeFactor and dWar both took a major dive last year, so the plummet in his rating isn't surprising. Andrus dWar declined into the negatives as well, so his 2 is also appropriate.

Escobar #1306 out of #1313 with -17 RTot so a 4 is justified.

The problem being that Jeter is #1312. Only Nick Castellanous was worse.

They clearly over-estimated some of their fans sense of humor. They got a harmless rise out of some fans, particularly the Jeter haters, and injected some needed humor into the SOM world. They fooled me, and I thought it was pretty funny.

Not going to re-hash the whole Derek Jeter is a bum or the best thing since the wheel discussion, because he really doesn't interest me.

I didn't see the rating, just this thread, but would have thought it was just another error either in rating or in use of social media. Based on the forum, probably the latter.
