I agree with you in the unique players are desirable, but I also interpreted the rules like SteveF. I voted for Charles Johnson 1997 although offensively his 2000 season was a monster.

Tuck Turner 1894 Phillies .418 ave only 300 plus abs but he joins .400 hitters Hamilton, Delahanty and Sam Thompson on same team...and he is (was) from Staten Island......
