Game #115=http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/game/424936/689 Here is a box score of game #115 where I was short handed. Hal actually inserted Manny Lee into the lineup at 2B when Manny had been injured for 5 games in game #114 and then ignored his injury moving forward. I guess I would have inserted Willie Randolph into the lineup and not left Manny Lee in the lineup if I thought Hal would just play who I left there and ignore the balance of the injury moving forward. Lee was injured and taken out of game #114, but I lost two additional guys in the ninth inning of game #114. Since I was losing on the road, my squad did not come out to play defense for the bottom of the ninth. I am guessing that not having to come out to play defense in the ninth inning allowed my squad to get injured to the extent that it turned into a short handed situation. I think there is probably some safety that does not allow you to become short handed in the field during a game, but because my guys got injured in the ninth inning of game #114, with one guy actually being the last hitter in the game, it was a fluke situation(A walk-off injury). I think you would have to be injured to the point where you had no back ups left and then get a walk off injury to have your team be left in a situation where you can't field a complete team the next game. It's probably the statistical equivalent of winning the lottery except I got no ******* money(or even a credit). I have never seen or heard of anyone ever being short handed for a game before and there have been a lot of seasons played over twelve years.
