Well, I wasn't quite sure how to bring this up--but it definitely needs to be discussed. Even though I'm a NY manager, it does seem to be worth asking whether NY should get all of those players who played in LA & SF. I'm not sure how BDWard, the other NY manager, feels. Anyway, 3 players, and potentially 4, have a stake in these players, so we need to be clear on who gets to draft them.
For me a key issue is whether pacoboy considered this question when he was making the rules, and I'll trust his testimony on this. If it was always his intention that NY get those players, then they should get the players, especially since this is consistent with the rules as they were stated when we signed up.
OTOH, if it's a question that pacoboy hadn't previously considered (like the NEL pure relievers question) then a bit of discussion might be appropriate. This is a large body of major players--not a small group like the former Boston Braves--and how they are handled has implications for the entire league.
Anyway, my view is that that pacoboy is the commish, and I'll cheerfully accept his ruling. However, the question is worthy of exploration, and we do need to sort this out before we draft.
OTOH, banning these players (especially that Mays guy!) from the draft altogether is probably NOT going to fly! But we can't blame Druid for trying.
