Yeah I'm curious too. I think I have the "luck factors" done and will post that tonight (I hope) after reviewing them. I will be doing the parks after that.

"Corky is quite a bit worse than expected"

Story of my SOM life lately. Very aggravating as I always seem to perform below the ratings (both Joe's and mine). It's taken a lot of the fun out of the game for me.

Joe Nathan with 12 losses so far? Really?

Joe, thanks for the ratings. No thanks for playing Kipnis - last night he had his 2nd 3-HR game against my guys. Geez, he only has 12 HRs for the season. :x

Yeah, I guess he likes hitting off of you. To be fair, he did hit 17 last year and *is*hitting in a LH favored park.

I hear ya Cork, weird things happen in SOM. Like we can't seem to win on the road.

Ok, here are the "luck factor" numbers.

I'm sure Smokey isn't going to agree, but they are what they are. FWIW

Code: Select all
Mgr….   W   SI   HR   1-R   Pyt   Rolls   UE/E   Inj   Luck Fctr
Smokey.   51   8%   4%   -2   -2   2.1%   51%   -35   4
Stoney.   55   -3%   -12%   7   8   -0.9%   59%   -29   3
AT.....   53   -7%   19%   3   0   0.2%       5   2.5
Gbrooke   60   2%   -8%   9   3   0.5%   50%   10   2
BigA...   55   -2%   3%   -9   -2   1.6%   64%   -20   0
Spider.   54   1%   6%   3   -3   0.0%   72%   14   -1
JTJ....   51   4%   7%   1   2   -2.0%   53%   4   -1.5
JMP....   50   -9%   -8%   -3   -2   -0.8%   50%   -21   -2.5
Corky..   43   2%   -7%   -7   -1   -2.6%   61%   11   -3
Hawk...   54   1%   -16%   4   1   0.3%   63%   -8   -3
Semper.   59   -3%   -14%   -2   -2   1.0%   82%   -4   -3
zim....   45   -2%   -13%   -10   -1   0.9%   56%   37   -4

So, Smoke, Stoney and AT are relatively lucky. Smoke cuz of bpsi, rolls on his card, injruies and relative lack of unearned runs. Stones' lack of HRs are offset by one runners, win diff and injuries (all these numbers are from a few days ago) AT's luck iin HRs offset the lack of luck in bpsis.

unlucky are Zim, Semp, Hawk and Cork. Semp is behind in HRs and unearned runs, Zim is unlcky almost across the board, Hawk in Hrs and cork in rolls and one runners.

The only place we've really been unlucky is in rolls in the pitchers cards. I thought it would be worse for us, but that's about it. It's been a killer, especially in the case of Medina. He's just killed us.

While I'm at it, fielding:

Code: Select all
Fieldng   FRt   Rtg F% Dif
BigAlrc   -101   1   1   0   W
Gbrooke   288   4   3   1   C
Spider.   306   5   5   0   C
JMP....   441   5   4   1   E
nythawk   475   5   7   -2   E
Corky..   485   6   10   -4   C
JoeTJet   486   7   9   -2   W
ArrylTr   512   7   5   2   W
Stoney.   526   8   6   2   W
Smokey.   540   8   0   8   C
SemperG   573   8   7   1   E
zim....   643   10   8   2   E

Corky's fielding is worse than expected, Smokey's is WAY better. JTJ is slightly worse. other than that it's pretty close.

Who can I complain to about my lack of unearned runs in my favor?

In my ATG league, my pitchers have suffered with the fielders allowing 15% of all runs scored via an error despite solid fielders across the diamond. :x

Semp,

Not sure what to tell you about your ATG numbers. Here's something to distract you.

These are the ballpark numbers. You get +1 if you're better in a park than the other team that is playing there and -1 if you're worse.

Code: Select all
Team…   Adv   Div
stoney   17   W
Semper   16   W
JTJ...   14   C
big A.   5   C
Spider   4   W
Corky.   4   W
Smokey   3   C
GBrook.   -7   E
JMP...   -9   C
Hawk..   -12   E
zim...   -15   E
At....   -21   E

You can see each team's rating in a park at this link. http://www.angelfire.com/games5/joethejet/nld37.pdf (You'll have to copy and paste)

In the bottom section, green is good for the team in the left-hand column going across. If it's your home park column, you want red.

If you need some help sorting out all the numbers, let me know.

Thanks Joe!

I've been travelling since Christmas, so I've been slow to catch up on your posts. Just sorting through them now.

Re the ballpark post - does this take into account pitching as well as hitting? Or just the hitting (which is what I might guess)?

I'm assuming the rating figure for hitting includes base stealing (or maybe running factors as well)? Or not? As I type this I'm thinking that you might have answered this question before, and said that the ratings figures do not include base stealing or running.

I'm looking at the the far right column at the top 1/2 of the page, which looks like the average for each team for ALL ballparks. I think this is an interesting rating figure, since it's kind of a "neutral" ballpark rating. I think it's interesting that my rating is slightly below the average for all 12 teams. It it's hitting only, and excluding stealing and running, it makes sense to me, since a lot of the dollars I spent on hitters would have gone into running and stealing.

Thanks again, Joe! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions! :) !
