Which 60's league is the toughest?

For those who like stats, here are some from last year. Obviously, toughest league is a matter of opinion but here are some numbers (overall 56 of the 132 are back from last year, when we had 120 teams).

10 of the 11 leagues have a top 17 owner from last year's tourney. League #3 has 8 owners from last year. League #5 has 7 owners from last year while 1, 6, 7, and 10 have 6 owners from last year.

League #3 has 3 of the top 11 owners from last year including both of the teams that battled it out in the World Series of the championship league. League #10 has some well-known owners, two of which finished in the top 7 last year but league #7 has a past champion and looks tough as well.

I would not want to be in league's #3 or #10 and will pick #10 as the toughest IMO. It doesn't matter as we all start from zero now. It would be fun if SOM had the win %'s of everyone to see which is the toughest league in that manner.

Other notes from last year - there were about 20 owners fighting for the last 12 spots going into the last week of league #4 last year. If I remember right, at least two of the owners had to win their first round playoff in order to make it into the final 12. Three teams tied for the 12th spot and it came down to a tie-breaker. And don't give up - 8 of the owners that made the final 12 had a team that had a losing season on one of the 4 teams.

My 60s team last year started 72-90. I had to win playoffs in both the 80s and 90s to make it in before losing the championship to ironically ths who is my 60s league.

Being in league #3, I suddenly feel the need to revisit my draft list

Good stuff... I have never played the 60s, and I don't have much non DH experience. I recognize a lot of names.

League 10 does look tough, but none of them scare me. I guess the favorites should be the guys who finished in the top 12 last year and subsequent years...... I am surprised only 56 played last year... Anyway, I enjoy reading what you guys have to say.

I think we could do without measuring managers or predicting who's likely to win and who isn't. This is a tournament for fun, not one to establish hierarchies. Also, when we have 12 finalists from a 56+player, 4-league tournament, we've hardly ascertained the "elite" players, nor should we. As an above poster said, nobody should be scared of anyone. Nobody's that good.

I consider myself elite whether I win or not, but if I win or even finish in the top 12 that will be elite enough for me! There are a lot of good players here.

If Vegas gets in on the act I am going to bet on me. .... And maybe a few others...

Nothing is going to bring me down about this tournament or my chances in it! This is the culmination of my life's work and the true passion of my existence. This is as close as it gets to being the GM of a MLB baseball team, and winning this tournament will be more prestigious than 99% of all the SOM tournaments ever including STAR Tournaments and tournaments among friend and foe alike. No bigger than any other year, but also no smaller here at on-line SOM World.
