It's been a while since we saw a S8. Kind of another era. Kershaw pitched 7,33 innings per starts, so I'd be surprised to see a S8 in 2014.

They said he was an S8 on the ratings previews on twitter.

That's interesting. Halladay had 7.58 innings per start in 2010 but was only an S7. And, Verlander had 7.38 in 2011 - also only an S7.
