Don't be sorry, discussion of this stuff is good. It lets us bat around new ideas and see how the old ones came about, especially for those of us that don't have a hand in writing the rules. You were 't trying to do anything that would ruin the league, just trying to improve it, never any harm in that.

6) You can only trade picks for the current season and one season into the future. For example for the 2015 season (2014 card set) you can trade 2015 and 2016 Free Agent and Prospect picks. You cannot trade 2017 picks or beyond. The 2015 (2014 card set) season starts the last day of the 2014 (2013 card set) season. This rule is to protect the league from an owner trading several picks into the future and then leaving the league. RULE VOTED IN 17/01/2015.
