Hi Guys,

I have an NL Only Keeper League that I run, one owner has said that he won't be coming back and we are in the process of finding out how many others will be coming back. This is our 2nd season and a chance to get in on a keeper. The open team belonged to MFL here is a link to his team:

I'm interested but have a few questions. Your first two links worked but the third "1st season" link did not work. Can you fix?

The others are:

1. Are ballparks kept from season to season unless cut or traded during the offseason?

2. If the commissioner reviews all trades who reviews trades involving the commissioner? Is there any movement towards an approval committee rather than just the commish making the approval? And finally, what is your approval philosophy (highly deferential unless collusion is clear or extreme imbalance? More intrusive? what percentage of trades were vetoed last year).

3. So the league adds/includes all unleashed and additional players, right?

4. Can you pick up free agents throughout the season on a daily basis? Is there a drop penalty? Does your salary cap return to 200m the next season if there is a drop penalty?

5. By SOM roster requirements do you mean a minimum of 4* or 5non starters, 10 pitchers minimum total, one starter minimum around the diamond? Must one have at least one qualifier backup at each offensive position?

6. Since you can't draft or keep AL players how/why is there an AL keeper penalty?

Sorry, I really did read the posted rules but those questions came up for me.

Hi teamnasty,

1. Ballparks are kept. You can drop them just like you would a player and draft the new ballpark in any round you see fit.

2. I run this NL league and an AL just like it for 7 years and I can't remember vetoing a trade. As far as veto on a trade I might make that has never came up (something we might need to look at).

3. This league uses the unleashed player set only players that have an NL card can be drafted or kept.

4. FA pick ups can occur at any time. Remember that when dropping one of your players someone might pick him up. There are no penalties for this and you will have $200 mil. The next year regardless. I think SOM in their game engine has a rule about how many times you can drop and pick up someone not sure what it is.

5. The only rules here the minimum number of pitchers and catchers that SOM has. I guess an owner could draft 2 catchers and the rest all 1B men if you thought you could win that way.

6. AL penalty one year an owner somehow had an NL player on his roster all season in the AL league so it is something I came up with in case it happened again. No one even noticed until the season was over.
