Just an update on my pick:
I'm taking offers for either one of my first round picks and will likely accept one. Just waiting for some people to respond and then it will be traded or made

If you're looking for a 2B, Utley is available. Looking for picks.

time to pay the piper on the traded FA picks.

I have some holes I would like to try fill.

C - I need a LHB that works versus righties
1B - I need a LHB that works versus righties
RF - If you can upgrade my current value I can send back Calhoun or Bruce

I have rookie picks, I could also part with hosmer or bruce in the right deal. I am open to change things around if you see an opportunity to trade elsewhere.

Does Darren O'Day hold some kind of record for drops and redrafts??

I swear that guy is as consistently inconsistent as anyone, putting up great cards followed by unusable cards every other year.

I had actually filled o'day in for my pick. at the last moment i gambled that rasmus will somehow retain his s5 rating when the cards drop.

you are right about oday. the 1.00 whip from last year left not so tasty when coupled with the 9R.

With 6 starts and a good but not incredible card, Rasmus should be fine for an S5. Texting you about Cs now...

Re: HCKL Chat Thread - trade block

PostTue Jan 27, 2015 7:19 pm

On the trade front, I would love to pick up some picks in the next few rounds. Here are guys I can put on the blocks:

Carlos Santana - nice versatility with C, 1B, 3B ratings, and pop & OB vs. both sides

Chris Davis - likely going to keep him in anticipation of a bounceback since power is at such a premium, but a good offer may pry him away (like a current pick and a strong prospect)

Justin Verlander - same as Davis, Verlander says he is now healthy after admitting to lingering stuff last year, so if he's actually working out & not busy motorboating, could be a nice bounceback

Koji Uehara and Nick Vincent - good RPs who can be useful in this set but don't fit my park. a RH/pitcher park would give them good value. Hawk, Cubit, Jason, Stoney, you guys might entertain one of these arms.

On the trade front:

I'm willing to deal one or both of Michael Wacha and Danny Salazar along with Drew Stubbs for a CF upgrade.
