Does position in lineup affect productivity?

I only consider the game results as a reminder or a red flag to check if I missed something in evaluating a player's Strat card. Did I miss considering stadium effects? On what my opposition is offering as pitching? Any other factors? Otherwise, the card presents 50% of the outcomes possible, and if stud is under-performing, the card is either over-priced in my opinion/situation or I mis-read the card or, most likely, I am getting bad luck.
