Furthermore the pick you received in the Kemp deal is for the year 2016, not 2015.

Sorry, my bad. Not taking my time to read it properly. On the other hand, Tom interprets which year reference denotes which draft. I get it confused repeatedly. If you look at the league rosters link, all of the upcoming draft picks in the trades section are 2014.

As an aside, it is here that I noticed the 3rd prospect pick that was part of the Kemp deal is listed as 2014. It should be 2015..

I have had this debate before, should be a universal notation to use calendar year, unless otherwise specified. Difficult to do though. That is why on the Kemp deal we specifically spelled it out. It's all good now I think.

I agree there should be a universal notation -- related to the card set in use.

I run a lot of retro keeper leagues, where we play succeeding seasons one-by-one. In one of them, for example, we'll be playing the 2012, 2013, and 2014 card sets this year.

All of my leagues are notated by the card set in use.
