Saving Private Ryan... The first 20 minutes are absolutely brutal. Still makes me cry like a baby.

Also loved Kelly's Hero's

#7 Bridge on the River Kwai. Always loved this one. Got a chance last year to finally see it on the big screen at a theater showing classics. Obviously loved it even more. A true classic...

Tulo's career obp/slug splits on the road are .349/.469, at home it's .397/.565.

But there's no massive inflation to see here folks, move along now little doggies.

Why can't one person say Tulo is the best ever and someone else post that someone else is the best ever and we get to enjoy both points of view without pronouncements like "my opinion is the only possible correct answer"? When suggesting that any player is the best player at his position there is no way of verifying that statement and conversely there is no way to prove that statement isn't correct either.
I'm sorry, Bombers, but you're being hypocritical, inaccurate, and cherry-picking. So your statement only shows your bias against me, particularly since you took my quote out of context and misread it. You said nothing about this statement by Teamnasty:
Tulo (the current gold standard but not close to being in the argument for best ever)
which said my previous statement was wrong, something you complain about above.

He also made this statement:
teamnasty wrote:And yes you're wrong,
which said I was wrong period and "his opinion is the only correct answer." So, spare me your hollow, hypocritical sanctimony when you don't apply it equally.

As to my statement. I never said Tulowitzki was the best player, nor that my evaluation of him was absolutely correct. I said I was absolutely correct that he belonged in the argument for best shortstop ever and he absolutely does. Nobody can prove otherwise, so I'm absolutely correct in that statement. I suggest you read posts better before you wrongly malign them and/or their writer, as you have done to me.

Negative, erroneous posts like yours above are truly what are damaging the Forum.

Thanks, Bombers. Showing how wrong you are is always fun for me.... ;)

Um, that still isn't a list of your top ten shortstops ever, so you are still clearly having a hard time coming up with ten shortstops better than Tulowitzki.

As to the split, a .349/.469 line on the road is outstanding for a SS, so those stats don't damage his standing. As to his home statistics, they were made in an MLB park and are still valid, as are all the home runs and brilliant defensive plays he made in all other parks.

So, you still haven't shown Tulowitzki does not belong in the argument for greatest shortstop ever, and my statement still stands correct.

P.s. Did you really just say "Move along, little doggies"? I have to show that one to my kids... ;)

Apparently SOM needs to change the name of the "Online" forums to the "Strether" forums as his opinion seems to be the only source of correct information around here.

Hey, if you want to change the Forum name to "Strether," knock yourself out. Considering you're almost never correct, they certainly can't call it the "LMBombers" Forum...

Posting opinions is fun, saying anyone who disagrees is therefore wrong is not.

I will second that.

Considering I've never said anyone was wrong for disagreeing with me, I will second that as well.
