tonight was maybe the most unrealistic thing hal has ever pulled. my opponents starter is injured early, so when we go extras his bullpen is pushed to the limit. in the 10th hal puts in scott kazmir, a non reliever. not a 1st, but kazmir just pitched 6 1/3 in the prior game. why not any other starter but him? so he goes 8 innings at 0 strength, allowing only 1 run for the win. of course my long reliever, having started 3 games ago, couldn't possibly come in when my lefty specialist was run down to 0. a mlb team would NEVER pitch a starter innings like that on 2 consecutive days. they'd pitch the backup catcher 1st, which hal should do if he has no other options.
