Cool. I guess we can draft tonight. In the past, I've only been involved in 2 live drafts and they both failed due to guys not showing up. Hoping this will work a little better. I've only practiced on the site a couple times so I hope I don't panic and take guys I would never take in a million years.

I changed it to find out it was close to another team name. I can take that one back Tom if you want.

Another problem I had with the last live draft - I wound up taking a starting pitcher with the wrong balance, and had to give him 184 innings of work. This is less likely in the mixed league (there will be many more leftovers available after the draft), however.

With the free-agent frenzy happening right after the draft, does that mean there is a possibility we could start tomorrow?

That might be problematic for people who go on "autopilot" when it comes to selecting a stadium:

Setting Your Ballpark
In a Live Draft league, you choose your home ballpark after the draft, at any time before 11:59pm ET on Sunday night, the night before your season starts on Monday night. If you haven't chosen a ballpark before that deadline, a random one will be assigned to you.

I guess, though, with 300 picks and 1 minute per, it is unlikely we would end in three hours by midnight Eastern.

league shouldn't start until the 16th...we can hold a stadium draft after on the board if we want, because yes, you have until sunday night before the league starts to choose one. then again, picks will likely be made with certain stadium in mind, and if you don't get it....

Wait...frenzy after the draft? That sucks. We should've had waivers!

And isn't there a way we can work out stadium picks? Just weigh in on the instant messaging thing that comes with the draft, and pick a scrub pitcher?

I'll try to change to waivers. picking 8th...can't remember last time I had a favorable draft position. 8th might be most anonymous of them all...maybe 7th, except at least it's one higher in the first round. not even near a corner flip really.
