Is there a prospect draft every year?

Hi,

A couple of replies:

1. No deadline yet for cuts/keepers.

2. Yes to prospect draft each year just remember that once a prospect gets carded you have to either keep or cut them.

As to #2, can we keep last year's prospect rather than draft a new one, assuming he lacks a card?

Or can we hold more than 1 prospect at a time? (assuming they don't have cards)

And the draft order for the prospect draft? Are we doing another lotto for that?

Replies:

1. Yes you can keep a prospect a "prospect" until he gets a card.

2. The prospect draft is just the reverse order of wins (I guess we could vote for next year if we want to run a different lottery for it).

Thanks, but combining MD'S question and mine, can you have multiple prospects protected on your prospect list as long as they don't have cards. I.e., I keep Joc Pederson from last year since he doesn't have a card still, but draft another prospect to add to my protected list? Is their a maximum number of prospects one can protect in other words?

Hi,

Very simple a prospect remains a prospect until he gets a card then you either have to keep or cut him. So he could stay on your prospect list as long as he doesn't get a card and you can have as many as you want. The only thing that changes that is if he gets a card. Then it's decision time.
