Not sure I understand the rule about trades. If you're only drafting from your five eligible rosters, why would there be a need for trades to put rosters in compliance? Or is there open trading allowed?
guess i should have read the rules completely. Are you saying that it is OPEN/Unlimited trading? I thought we usually kept a certain number from our drafted/carded teams.
if it's unlimited trading, I may need to back out as it just becomes a free for all at that point and kind of ruins the theme.
let me know... unfortunately, I'm not interested and will need to pull my name if it is indeed unlimited.
My plan would be to use the half teams I drafted. Trading wouldn't really bother me, but maybe some trading limit could be considered (20 player minimum?). I have seen offers of trading draft order in other leagues and that seems reasonable.
I like trading in this format because no matter where you draft, every team will end up with depth and gaps. As commish, I just want transparency so trades need to be posted on the league board. I am not going to keep track to make sure no one has exceeded some arbitrary limit of trades.
So the rule is trading is allowed. It needs to be posted. no limits..
Paul, I hope you choose to stay, but if you drop out, no problem.. I hope to see you in another league soon...
I have a question regarding your rule "Each manager will own exclusive drafting rights to the players from their selected 5 team groupings". Does this mean you own these players throughout the league and the only drop or adds during the preseason or during the season can occur from your pool of players? Also, I assume this means the "waiver" period and selections from the free agent pool is irrelevant in this league because ALL free agents rights are already owned?
