2014 1/2 Team Draft League - drafting

To Paul Long,

I like trading in this format because no matter where you draft, every team will end up with depth and gaps. As commish, I just want transparency so trades need to be posted on the league board. I am not going to keep track to make sure no one has exceeded some arbitrary limit of trades.

So the rule is trading is allowed. It needs to be posted. no limits..

Paul, I hope you choose to stay, but if you drop out, no problem.. I hope to see you in another league soon...

Regarding trades,
(1) when are trades allowed (during the draft, after all 5 rounds have been drafted, before the league starts, once the league starts)
(2) if trades are allowed during the 5 round draft, can you trade only individual players or an entire "grouping" which was previously drafted and can you trade for future draft picks (this is a question regarding entire "groupings" which are drafted can be traded)
(3) do trades need to be posted PRIOR to making the trade or only after the trade is made?

Answers for Musial 6 and startfanatic:

1.). At all times your roster must be comprised exclusively of players from the 5 team groupings you selected + any players you received via trade. This means you can do add drops from your 5 selected team groupings. You may not pick up free agents from outside your 5 selected team groupings. If you want a player from outside your 5 team groupings, you have to trade for them.

2.). I did not set a time when trades could start, but for the purposes of this league, let's say trades can start once the league loads, and we can record transactions on the league message board. If you guys want to informally discuss trades via PM during the draft, that is up to you. But the trade is official once it is posted on the league message board.

3.). The league is frenzy, because all players are exclusively assigned to one team once the league loads, subject to trades.

4.). Let's just trade players, not entire team groupings or draft selections... This will keep some structure to keep rosters in compliance..

Thanks for answering my questions and I have one more question: once the draft starts, is there any time limit when someone is "on the clock" and if so, what is the time limit (and if someone misses their time limit, when do they get their missing draft slot?)

As a courtesy to other managers the expectation is that if you will not be available to draft in a timely manner, please send proxies out to keep things moving along..
