In one league I'm in he went in the 3rd round in another I grabbed him in the 11th....
I think of it as a quasi- equivalent of the rule 5 draft
you can poach a dude from the minors if you put him on your 40
adds a bit of strategy to the draft....
imo prospects should be kept simple
no mlb experience....
I am in a few regular leagues that only allows carded players and there is always a deeper Free agent pool every year so I am all for this league only allowing carded players(nice to have keeper leagues that arent all the same). It really allows a team that had a bad season to rebuild quickly and be competitive much sooner than if we were in a league with a shallower pool.
As for prospects I agree it should stay that a prospect is a player with no MLB experience that is signed prior to the start of the spring Free agent draft(not the prospect draft)
