Keyzick, if you or anyone else don't want me posting, stop posting to or about me. I've never dissed the tourney. My first post said I disagreed with J-Pav's policy, but I would play anyway. J-Pav decided to start a debate about his bonus point policy, and I responded. J-Pav asked for information about his salary cutting policy, and I gave it. I then gave information that disproved TN's false statement. If you have a problem with that, then the person in a "little world" is you.

You also forget J-Pav made 8 posts criticizing GBrookes' bonus points policy last year. Neither you nor anybody else had a problem with that. So, it's hypocritical for you or other veterans to jump on other managers for disagreeing with J-Pav's policies. I have a personal interest in next year's Tourney policies. So, when policies that could be used next year are discussed, I do have a legitimate interest and reason in discussing them.

So, I suggest you and other veterans stop posting to (or about) me and picking fights and start some positive threads. There are some newbies in the tournament who would appreciate the shared Tourney experiences of veterans like yourself.

P.s. My opinions on my threads are all my own. None of us, including you, use our own scouting reports when making our opinions on this Forum. We all rely on scouts and writers talking to scouts. If making our own scouting reports was a requirement for giving our legitimate opinions, then all of us would have to stay quiet.

Strether,

I'm glad to see you're turning the corner and encouraging more productive conversation, especially after yesterday's embarrassing thrashing. I would've thought you might want to sit out a few shifts after that.

So today, for the sake of the new players, let's talk about your Tour experiences. Under gbrookes' 2014 tour, you appeared to have a 98th place finish and if I remember correctly, quit the Tour in some huff of faux outrage then too, which I find sort of ironic since you liked so much about gbrookes' rules guidance. Two unremarkable teams never dropped below 90% of full value. Hmmm.

2013 saw a 53rd place finish, including one Champs team. Congratulations! All five teams stayed easily above the proposed 90% threshold. So among your seven teams (I found no others, but you can post them here), you never dropped below the 90% line. Why do you feel others should do something you don't seem to find the need to do with your OWN tour teams? I would hope you're not being disingenuous here. You know, "do as I say but..."

So rather than speaking for other manager's teams, why don't you just share your own valuable experiences?

You are truly as deluded as you are slow. The only one who took an embarrassing thrashing yesterday was you. You made a loud claim nobody had ever won a championship with a sub-72m salary. I gave evidence otherwise. You then threw an inappropriate, frenzied tantrum about it. Everyone can see it on page 6. I then showed your and others claim no Tourney participants had ever cut their salary below 72M was also false. So, it was not a good day for you, your arguments, or your salary-cutting policy. I'm surprised you don't have welts... ;)

And if you think taking a shot at my teams means anything, then you're even more deluded. I never made claims to be a Tourney star, so your puerile shots are pointless. I had good reason to leave the tourney last year. I won't go into it here, but anyone can see my reason on last year's thread. As to what other teams should do, I've never advocated cutting salary below 72%. I've merely correctly shown that players can win doing so, and shouldn't be unfairly punished for it. If you read better, you'd know that.

And i'm not a participant nor a tourney vet, I don't have valued Tourney stories to share. If you want those stories shared, you and other Tourney vets should be the ones to do so.

Hey J-Pav,

Thank so much for taking the reins of the Tour! I doubt you or many of the other veterans would remember me, I played from 2006 - 2012 under the SN Rally Sally. I was mostly into keeper leagues back then and never played in the tour. But now that I've gotten sucked back into Strat-o (much to my wife's dismay) it seems like a great way to reconnect with the game and the community. I'm looking forward to seeing if my winning ways will continue after a 3 year absence!

As to all this ruckus over the rules: I know what you're going through. I've been a tournament organizer for tabletop miniature games for 7 years, and it's like herding cats. It's a very similar set of people that play these games, smart and nerdy. And in every gaming group, there's always an eloquent (in his mind) malcontent wanting to cause trouble and garner attention. But the community's vote is pretty apparent here: 74 - 1, so far. Don't let one noisy guy dissuade you from running a good tournament this year or next! Unfortunately, they come with the job.

However, I do agree with your decision to personally sit out of the competition. Anyways, thanks again and good luck to everyone signed up! :D

Gracian, I'm sorry you think my responding to J-Pav's debate about bonus points and providing information about his penalizing-salary-cutting policy constituted being a "malcontent." Apparently you don't think tourney participants or future participants should speak any disagreement about any rules.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, J-Pav complained extensively about one of the last commissioner's policies. He made 8 posts about it. Apparently you would have considered him a malcontent as well.

If you have any particular problems with any of my particular posts, please show me the courtesy and maturity of addressing me directly about them.

Good luck in the tournament.

There's a point where you needed to stop posting and we've clearly passed it.

That's your opinion you haven't backed up, just like your opinions in your last post. So, we'll just disagree there.

However, I said I was through posting at the top of the page. J-Pav then decided to address a post at me, and you decided to post negatively about me. If you and other posters stop doing that, I will stop posting.

You seem like the kind of guy that MUST have the last word, every time, no matter the argument. Prove me wrong.
