Top of the 8th and my LF'er vs. LH's (Ichiro) gets pulled for Venable.

He's set to avoid RH's, but Ichiro's turn to bat doesn't come up.

I sent this in to Strat looking for an answer.

Anybody have a clue here?

Simple! You have been infected with the Mansueto Virus.

So Ichiro gets to hit against the other team's lefty specialist and then gets pulled next inning. Brilliant.

I don't understand this post. Could someone break it down for me? What happened and what's wrong? I mean this literally, not as a provocation -- I don't understand what is being said.

Ichiro is my LF'er (vs. LH's)
His settings: Avoid RH's
He gets pulled for Venable as a defensive substitution.

I have a problem with this because:
A. Ichiro while also a 2 in LF, has a better arm than Venable
B. I don't have Ichiro to be removed for a defensive substitution



FWIW:
I sent this to Strat. Their reply was...
Because I have Venable to come in for Dickerson (vs RH's), the computer will insert Venable as a LF defensive replacement.

I came back as asked... Why doesn't the computer : A. See Ichiro should NOT be removed and B. Realize Ichiro because of his arm, is a better defender in LF.

They haven't gotten back to me...


Strat, at least when I email them, gets back to me ASAP, when I have a question. When I counter reply with a question that they CAN'T answer, they don't get back to me.

I'm guessing you're playing Dickerson in LF vs RHP, and want Venable to replace him as a Def sub.

What SOM is saying they can't differentiate more than that, Venable is the Def sub in LF no matter who is playing.

I'm with Geekor here.

Additionally.....I'm assuming you have Venable as Dickerson's D.R. Why not let Ichiro be his defensive replacement and then the computer won't pull Ichiro out. Problem solved!
