Is this to protect players on your roster that have played with other franchises - like if he were eligible for this league
Frank Thomas of the White Sox - also played with the A's. I want to make sure. How is the draft order going to be determined- like this Chicago Team is pretty thin in a few positions

You don't have to worry about player team affiliation. You can draft ANY player that qualifies and have him on your team. Just because you have the Chicago/Comiskey Park team doesn't mean you can't draft or own Mantle. You can.

Yep - you need to go back and read the past questions regarding the parameters of the draft - it's not a franchise team - I guess just a franchise stadium, drafting any of the players from any of the teams from that era - including all NEL players.

I'm also good for four rounds ... and just to clarify, regarding ny mets post -- there's no franchise limitation on players, you can use ANY card of any player on any team as long as that player has a card 40-69. In addition, you can use any NeL player, regardless of when he played (so Chino Smith, who died in the 1920s, is fair game). Do I have that right?

Also, my understanding is that the only limitation on players is that they have at least one card from 1940 - 1969 or can be any NeL player. Just because I have Forbes field and must identify my team as Pittsburgh, I can draft Yankees or Cubs or any player that either did or didn't play for Pittsburgh.

You are exactly right!!

Yes! You can have any player with at least one card between 1940-1969 or is an Nel player. Chino is fair game!

I'm fine with 4-round draft as well.
