I really don't want Dunlap's card. That year he played in the Union Association. If it were in a legit league then I would be ok with it.

My take on the top 5 vote recipients - BTW, 4 of the 5 players I voted for made it - only Schupp didn't.

Kershaw is an *(7) E who's card was priced right at 10mil in the 2013 set - good card and it will be interesting to see where they price him for ATG. Bouton's card is an *(6) 2L. The card is OK but nothing to write home about. Low HR's and GBA's could make it a nice mid-price option. Pedroia is going to be the classic FA list frequenter. Nice card with a 1 e6 rating. Balanced hitting columns and a lot of 2B chances are the good points. The bad point is that he was priced at 9.98 in the '08 set and could be priced around the same as Cano in ATG - you know, the Cano that is ALWAYS on the FA wire. Even franchise managers of Boston may still opt for Doerr. Honestly, I don't know what to expect from Cummings, just what his stats would suggest as I've never seen a card for him. Posey is Josh Gibson lite: a 9L card that is very usable against RHP too. He just misses on the PA (599) but has only one injuy chance.

That's my 2 cents on the top 5.

1887 Calling for high & low pitches was abolished

Can you imagine Bonds being able to tell the pitcher I want the pitch right here?

Wow. Just looked at the poll. I honestly don't get all the love for that Pedroia card.

It would instantly be one of the top defensive cards at second. And 54 doubles. What's not to like?
And I do believe that we should have every MVP and Cy Young season not matter whether we like the player or not.l
And if that does not catch all the Aaron award winners we should get those too.

Pedroia is one of those cards (much like Mark Texiera's card every year it seems) that never produces for the money in the 20XX games. In ATG it may be really ugly.

Is this card any better than one of the Alomar cards?

If we are going to eliminate all new cards because it is no better than an existing card of another player why not just ask..... Is this card any better than one of the Hornsby cards? Now nobody qualifies. Why should Alomar be the standard? What if you are running the Boston franchise and you cannot use Hornsby or Alomar on your team?

Would it sit on the FA list because no one wants to invest 9+ mil for it?

Yes, if that card is priced in the Bret Boone to Biggio range I would use it, especially at higher caps.

I see three new cards that make me want to scream all the more for TWO ATG player sets: ATG-UNLEASHED and ATG-MLB.
Unleashed could be all cards/MLB would be ONLY MLB players from 1894-on.

I agree, but it is what it is.

Actually the list does not show Bouton as having an * to be a four day starter. My 1963 card has him as *(8)/(4). Don't know if the (6)/(3) is intentional or a mistake.

It doesn't HAVE to be what it is. I'm not against people having the cards they want. Add Cuban League, Japanese League, Mexican League, Federal League, Abner Doubleday, whatever. Just give an OPTIONfor those of us who don't want cards from players who aren't MLB or didn't play by modern baseball rules. I want the best 2b in the set to be Hornsby, Morgan, Collins, and Lajoie, for example.

Why is Ross Barnes a 1-30e? He made 56 errors at 2nd base that year in only 47 games.

How is it ok to adjust his error total because they had small gloves but its ok to keep his insane average that was a result of small gloves.
