When does it END!!!!

I have been wanting to post this for some time. So I start with last nights games.

Blown Games. Either by the bullpen or losing a lead after the 7th. This is a regular occurence every night. Lose more games than win. 3-7 record last night. Some nights there are NO comeback wins. Just one aspect of my frustration with this effing game! BEST solutions would be either taking time off or walking away.

Blown game in the 9th. Win it in the 11th. Very unusual to win it!

While I feel your pain, if you are losing games after the 7th someone else is having comeback wins. So, it doesn't seem to be a flaw in the game just some bad luck. It all goes around and comes around.

Being that I am the supreme optimist and it will all even out. But it's not the case with my teams. I would like to believe that at some point the tides will turn. I am still waiting and it's been years of this not months. So I doubt it will ever happen. Just my belief!

I understand the frustration. It should balance out in the long run. As prjr said every blown lead is another team's comeback win. So there is a direct 1 to 1 relationship.

However, if over a period of years you are having more bullpen blown games than comebacks that would seem to indicate others are doing a better job of constructing teams for success in late innings. Might want to take a closer look at the composition of your teams. Maybe you need to start having better bullpens.

We all should also keep in mind that just as HOF starting pitchers get lit up by allstar and/or HOF batting orders inflating their stats relievers and closers will also suffer. So while Rivera might have a save success rate of 90% in real life maybe in ATG 75-80% would be more realistic expectation. Game over Gagne is not going to be game over when he might be facing Williams, Foxx, and Ruth in the 9th inning.

In our hall of fame face to face league, our lights out relievers get lit up all the time-Rod Beck has given me years of heartache and I will not be picking him again in our next league!

Wait til you give up 11 runs in the bottom of the ninth to lose 12-11.

Sometimes wierd things happen and there is no explanation. I lost 4 games of spades last night for the first time in my entire life. Then turned around and won the next 4. I would imagine it is even possible I might lose a game of Pente some day.
