It has been brought to my attention we will have a New Player set to be added to ATG 8 this week

So I'll ask that while I prefer to have everyone purchase their team ahead of time, I'll ask for everyone to not Name or begin to fill in the team until the new players have been added to the set. That way we will all have the same player set or loading the League will become a nightmare.

Treatment of New Players;
1. Not Use them for this Season (I'm sure everyone wants them)
2. Make the new Players available during the Frenzy. (This would have to have a frenzy time everyone can make)
3. Post Pick of any new player you want to draft here and put an obscure proxy pick on diamonddope. (I'll keep track of these picks if this option chosen.) I know the new players will not be added to diamonddope in time.

Last option: Delay draft until May 20 when I'll be back home from my trip.

Reading Garcia's Blog, this list is not complete as there are five more players, probably pitchers, (20 total players, blog reads 21) to be added, you can keep checking this link for updates. Final prices will not be displayed until the players are officially integrated into ATG 8 next Thursday. April 16th ??

I would prefer waiting and making new players available during the Frenzy as using Waviers would eat the whole weekend up and leave little time to adjust teams.

OK,
In order to use the new players we will have to do the following

1. Purchase Team Credit but do not fill any information in until the announcement the new players have been added
(A Must or it will cause all sorts of problems with entering the League)

2. Since the new players will not be added to diamonddope in time for our draft.
New Players will be eligible to be drafted in the auto draft part of the draft, Old Style ATG. It will be a gamble on if you'll get that New Player

This way we can proceed with the draft on diamonddope, as currently set, and new players can be drafted as we load after the diamonddope draft.


I find this workable for the time frame I need to use to draft the New LZB Season and New Players will be included.

Interesting, Bouton threw 249 innings and needs four days rest and Kershaw pitched 236 and needs three.
