Even better!! Maybe they should read their own $%^&*() "policy". Hard to decide if they do this deliberately or if it is just mind boggling incompetence. Or both.
Your Past Teams
Dear suckers,
Welcome to the archive of your older teams.
Currently, the teams available here are those teams that were under the "main" Strat-O-Matic Baseball Online site at SportingNews.com - specifically ATG III-VI, 2007-2013, 1999, 1986, '70s, '80s, '90s - plus the 1969 and 2001-2005 sets. Teams under our other older sets that were on their own separate sites will be added soon.
Your old teams here are split up into pages, to keep it manageable for those of you with many teams. Currently, they're sorted simply by team ID - so they're in a general oldest-to-newest order - but you can use the "Filter by Player Set" menu to help you find what you're looking for.
Boxscores/recaps/play-by-plays for individual games are permanently not available for many leagues. This type of data is the biggest consumer of storage space and they have to be cleared in order to keep otherwise complete records of your team history.
The same goes for per-game stat lines for individual players (season total stat lines for teams and individual players are there, of course).
The newer post-transition stats (fielding, ballpark rolls, hitter/pitcher card splits) are obviously not available, as we only started generating them since the transition.
In the near future, we'll be starting to move your more recently-completed teams over here to this archive (after about a month or so after completion) on a rolling basis. Once again, the goal is to keep the database that powers your active teams as lean and optimized as possible.
Love the @#$%^&*()_+ part about
(season total stat lines for teams and individual players are there, of course).I can help SOM keep their database "as lean and optimized as possible." Just don't buy any more @#$%^&*(O)P teams.
