Flaky Mystery Cards

PostMon Apr 20, 2015 2:40 pm

I've had an intermittent issue this past week where I can't get a player's card to show. His stats for each season and game results will show--just not the actual season card for any of the seasons. If I close the player and reopen him--sometimes it takes a couple of tries--it will usually start working again.

Anyone else having this issue? Anyone have a fix besides repeatedly opening a player up?

Same here. VERY annoying, but today so far, so good. I found that just continually hitting refresh would eventually bring up the card, if you didn't fall asleep trying.

I sent an email to online support with a link to this thread. I'll report back anything I hear.

A script is running slow, or maybe is new to the card display program. I have scripts set to run for only 1 second (not recommended, just something I like) so that I can choose immediately whether or not to have a script run (and slow my computer down). The problem you describe happened to me, and when I started getting the cards displaying right again, I would get the script notice.

The script MIGHT have something to do with the "play by play" "watch live" option -- whether you use it or not.

I received a reply from SOM online support this morning:

We are trying to recreate this but haven't been able to so far. Is there anything that has consistently caused this problem? Any extra information you send would be helpful.

It seems random to me, but perhaps someone else can detect a pattern? I also let them know that, as Scumby reported, it isn't just affecting mystery cards.

Here's my browser and OS; please post yours if you're having the issue (at least until we can establish there isn't a patten with these).

As I noted above, there IS something new and unusual happeing -- a script is running slow (or perhaps is a new script) when you access the cards.

This is a good tip since this problem won't go away. Just keep hitting F5, and your seasons will eventually show.
