Lanier: Glad to see that you decided to stay. I know that you have been enthused about this league from the get go, but that it has been frustrating for you and others as we try to make rules on the go to insure that this is a fun and competitive league. While I can't say that I agree 100% with all of Rosie's decisions, this type of league has never been previously attempted and Rosie has always taken the time to answer questions and to explain his reasoning, and has been willing to reconsider his position when given appropriate feedback. Really, that's all I can ask in a commish and I think that he has done a good job in communicating with us and making decisions in the best interests of the league and competitive balance. Rosie explained when we joined the league that the rules would be evolving as we went along and I'm glad that he has been flexible in that regard. We have a diverse group of very intelligent, talented and veteran managers and Rosie has done a great job shepherding us through the entire process, a task that is akin to herding cats!

I'm hoping that the growing pains are mostly behind us as we move into the next phase of the draft.

Rosie, can you explain your idea as to how it will work? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the rosters, I've confirmed everyone but Musial and Andy. Musial please provide the yrs of your players as it will make it easier to confirm.

Next steps:
5 RP's and 1 5th SP draft. This draft will be combined with the NeL teams. I will get a randomizer run and provide the order. The NeL teams will be drafting a NeL 5th SP and it doesn't need to meet the 3 mil min. The RP's will all come from the MLB pool as the NeL doesn't have any pure RP. This is for pitchers only, the bench players will be acquired in the auto draft. Bench players refers to position players. There is no min $$ for your RP, only a max per pitcher as listed below.

PARAMETERS: Draft any players carded between 1920-1955, cheaper than 10m (after RD 1), and NOT listed as NeL (like Banks, Mays, Aaron etc). • $100 mil cap; NO DH • $23 mil min must be used for all Bench, Relievers and 5th SP (even after dropping down to 24 if desired), which will leave $77 mil max for your 4 other SP’s and 8 Starting Position players. • Relief pitchers must cost $2.73 mil or less • Only two Bench players below $1.5 mil allowed • All SP on MLB teams must be greater than $3 mil.

Whew, almost there...
Any questions or comments?

You're right about herding cats! And to ROSIE sorry about all the grief. BDWard,s post reminded of a time when was commissioner of a theme league and it was nothing but bitching from the "herd of cats" and it was difficult. So I'm sorry for the grief.
