One of the speakers at a Star Trek convention told the story of a man who studied a Klingon dictionary and had a t-shirt that read I speak Klingon. He went to Japan and at the end of his trip got lost on the way back to the airport. He was having trouble finding someone who could help him when he saw a person with a similar t-shirt. He approached her and the 2 had a conversation in Klingon on how to reach the airport.

Supposedly a true story.
